Seth Atwater Jr
That’s my name! I’m Seth Atwater (though not the original one), and things I’m known for include nothing, but one day I might be able to add writing fantasy novels and short stories to that empty list. Maybe even soon, since my short story A World of Repetitions was the third place winner in the Writers of the Future contest during the second quarter of last year, and is being published in their anthology this April. As a very new author who has only been on this earth for less than a quarter-century, I’m extremely grateful to the Galaxy Press team, and even more excited to see where my writing journey takes me next.
I live in the middle of nowhere in the US state of Missouri with my family, including my parents, five of seven siblings, a brother-in-law, two nephews, and four cats (who basically count as nephews and nieces, since they belong to my sister).
Our home is part of a larger family farm, so I’ve always been surrounded by supportive grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, to whom I attribute a large amount of the success I’ve found thus far in life. I don’t really consider myself a farm kid, but those people will always be a part of me, wherever I go in the future.
My hobbies mostly include writing (I’m working on three different projects atm) and writing-adjacent stuff like reading and watching movies/anime. I also really enjoy running—which I do for about three miles every morning—as well as all kinds of gaming, from board games to video games to D&D.
Don’t let me near a keyboard with parentheses on it—I am guaranteed to overuse them (heavily).
